Description

With Trulia’s headquarters in San Francisco, and significant growth of our NYC office, we are seeking a well-rounded HR Generalist to join the “People” (HR) team to provide outreach and support to a variety of groups and individuals. The HR Generalist will perform both hands-on and strategic roles in communicating and implementing our people strategy. S/he will also be relied upon to identify and act on opportunities to improve programs, processes and communication to yield greater effectiveness or results, and will be called upon to handle office/ facilities related needs regularly. In this multi-dimensional role, you will work closely with the New York based VP Sales & team, reporting back to SF based HR Manager.
Responsibilities: * Primary contact for HR matters, including creating a great employee and candidate experience * Primary contact for all facilities and office space matters to ensure the daily office operations run smoothly * Work closely with managers to provide guidance and advice on a variety of employee matters, including connectivity with HQ, growth of office, and general office support * Provide HR policy/practice interpretation and guidance in a fair and consistent manner * Build and maintain employee culture and morale * Lead or assist in special projects as needed * Support company values throughout daily activity and decision making: (I)nnovate, (M)ake a difference, (P)eople matter, (A)ct with integrity, (C)ustomer obsessed, (T)rust & respect eachother
Requirements: * 2+ years experience in an HR related/support role * Proactive approach to all things related to the best employee experience * Ability to multitask with multiple projects and changing priorities * Solid written and communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of employees * Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions, and exercise judgment & diplomacy on sensitive/ confidential issues * Experienced at working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and comfortable with ambiguity * Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business highly desired. PHR added plus * Working knowledge of New York state employment law * Sense of humor a must
